Though the third edition of the Photo Vogue Festival has ended – the only international photo festival devoted to fashion – two of the festival’s major exhibitions will remain on view through the first week of December.
“Beyond the still image,” the first solo exhibition of Norwegian photographer Sølve Sundsbø’s work, demonstrates his use of otherworldly concepts, stylistic versatility and his approach towards new technologies from 3-D scanning to hand-painted retouching. Drawing from iconic photographs, videos, and site-specific installations, the images on display reveal Sundsbø’s vision to push fashion photography beyond the realm of the still image. Sundsbø is considered one of the most innovative voices in contemporary fashion photography.
Another exhibition at Armani/Silos, which is presented in partnership with the Italian Panorama project, showcases some of the most unique young talents of Italian fashion photography, a genre which has never been so dynamic and varied as it is today.
