Snow in Central Park

Dina Litovsky was born in the Ukraine, and moved to New York City two decades ago. The snow storm that hit the region earlier this week motivated her to trek all the way to Central Park from her apartment in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Sheepshead Bay (approx 17 miles, but via public transit the trip takes well over an hour). Litovsky tells PDN, “I’ve lived in New York City since 1991 and I realized that I’ve never seen Central Park in the snow in all these years. It was pretty magical there, I expected it to be scenic but [I] was just overwhelmed by how gorgeous everything was.” Litovsky posted these images on Facebook yesterday and we just had to share. Maybe six more weeks of winter won’t be so bad.
