Imaginary Journeys

Born and raised in Paris, Didier Massard received his degree in art and archaeology from the University of Paris in the mid 70s. For many years Massard worked as a commercial photographer for clients like L’Oréal, Air France, Chanel and Hermès. In 1987, Massard created personal work that he refers to as his “series of table top photographs conceived and created in studio.” These magical images come from his own imagination, inspired by exotic locations around the world. A culmination of twenty years of Massard’s work, “Territories,” can be seen at the Kopeikin Gallery in Los Angeles beginning Saturday, June 14, continuing through August 23, 2014.
