Fashion photographer Kevin Tachman approaches each runway show as if he were synthesizing the experience, distilling the visual chaos of each fashion show into still images. He often chooses to create multiple exposures, all shot in-camera with no post-production compositing. Tachman told PDN via email, “There is so much going on at the same time [during a fashion show] that it’s a challenge to try to capture it all, and it’s fun to see how the images intersect with each other while using a total different muscle creatively.” Tachman responds to the unique energy he finds and follows what inspires him at each show. On building his brand within the fashion industry, Tachman says it requires, “persistence, lots of hard work, listening, and following my instincts while constantly trying to keep the images fresh, as well as having a healthy sense of humor.” He  says that this group of images began as “an alternative view on fashion week for my ‘Overexposed’ series for Vogue.com.” His work has also appeared on GQ.com, New York magazine’s The Cut online, and the website of T: The New York Times Style Magazine, and he recently finished a portrait portfolio for the 2014 Pride Guide for New York City.
