For New York‘s February 17, 2014, issue on spring fashion, conceptualist artist Maurizio Cattelan teamed up with photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari to compose a series of very surreal, vibrant and mesmerizing images for their portfolio, some of which are included in this gallery. Clothing and accessories were provided by iconic fashion houses like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Prada and Giorgio Armani. An article described Cattelan and Ferrari’s public art project for New York City’s High Line as “carefully constructed photo shoots, the vocabulary of fashion and commercial photography is at the same time celebrated and parodied, by creating what can seemingly be described as advertisement stripped bare of any product.” The Italian artists founded art magazine TOILETPAPER in 2010 (published by Damiani).
