Texas-based photographer Kim Carrier has taken over 200 photographs of herself over the past five years. “I like to consider my self-portraits an on-going photographic diary. With memories and emotion being the driving force behind my self-portraits, and my life being still at a rather youthful stage, I feel like I will have material to draw from for a great many years to come,” Carrier told PDN. “We gather sights everyday. Sounds, movements, moments, expressions, emotions…tucking each element of consciousness into the cabinets of our minds. I find that the only way I can keep track of the memories I consider significant in my life is by plucking them out of my ever-growing pool of reverie and using them as creative fuel for my self-portraits.” To see more of Carrier’s work visit her Facebook page.
