Iconic photos and less familiar works by the influential master Daido Moriyama are on display at Charles A. Hartman Fine Art in Portland, OR from January 20 to February 26.  The photos in the exhibit span five decades in the photographer’s career, starting in the mid Sixties when he went out on his own after assisting the eminent photographer Eikoh Hosoe. Whether photographed in the alleys of Tokyo, a plaza in Paris or an avenue in New York, Moriyama’s photos always maintain the same grit, rawness and originality.
