The series “Liminal” by Joshua Zucker-Pluda is an investigation into absence. He is interested in the idea of memory as phantom: an ineffable presence that haunts us. By studying the presence left behind in certain spaces, Zucker-Pluda captures loss and expresses the notion that something can only be truly felt when it is gone.
Joshua Zucker-Pluda is an artist, filmmaker, and musician based in New York City. His work has been shown in New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Berlin. Joshua divides his time between directing editorial and commercial projects, and playing bass in a hardcore punk band.
